Ranson Police Job Application – City of Ranson, WV

Instructions:

Thank you for applying to be a member of the Ranson Police Department.

You will be required to have a photo ID on the day of the testing. Applicants who are NOT a WV certified officer will be given a physical agility test consisting of 18 pushups in one minute, 28 sit-ups in one minute and a 1.5 mile run in less than 14:36.
Those that pass the physical agility test will then take the written entrance exam.

You may wear attire to appropriate to suit the above fitness requirements or bring a change of clothes.
You will need to bring, if you haven’t turned it in with your application, a release from a certified doctor statement that you are fit to perform the agility test. Failure to do so will eliminate you from consideration.

A list of all applicants who pass the written exam and physical will be posted on a list at the Ranson Police Department located at 700 N. Preston Street, Ranson.
