The Planning Commission comprises five members who undertake long-range visioning for the development of the City of Ranson. Those who serve on the Planning Commission give of their time freely and serve without compensation.

The commission oversees the processes of:

• • Rezoning

• • Zoning Ordinance amendments

• • Stormwater management

• • Maps (parcels, streets, zoning districts, floodplains, school zones, capital projects, etc.)

• • Interpretation of City of Ranson’s Zoning Ordinance
