About the Commission
The Planning Commission oversees the processes of:
- Site Plans
- Large-scale development
- Subdivisions
- Land use
- Rezoning
- Zoning Ordinance amendments
- Stormwater management
- Maps (parcels, streets, zoning districts, floodplains, school zones, capital projects, etc.)
- Interpretation of City of Ranson’s Zoning Ordinance
The Planning Commission comprises five members who undertake long-range visioning for the development of the City of Ranson. Those who serve on the Planning Commission give of their time freely and serve without compensation.
