Residential garbage collection and recycling throughout the city is provided by Apple Valley Waste. Commercial garbage collection throughout the city is provided by Apple Valley Waste and Waste Management.
Apple Valley Waste
The City of Ranson and Apple Valley Waste (AVW) are proud to announce that AVW has signed an additional 5-year contract extension with the City of Ranson to collect residential solid waste for all households within the city. AVW’s contract also provides for curbside recycling for all residents.
Apple Valley Waste began its collections in the City of Ranson on July 1, 2009. With a fleet of 30 trucks and over 50 employees Apple Valley Waste now provides weekly curbside collection for more than 35,000 customers in the Eastern Panhandle and Washington County, Maryland.
Brush Pickup
Brush and yard waste will be picked up by the City of Ranson on the first Monday of each month beginning in May and ending in December. For more information, click here.
