Online Renewal and B&O Tax Filing

The City of Ranson is pleased to announce the launch of our new Business License/B&O Tax portal: This site will be live for public use starting June 3rd, 2024.

For businesses and organizations that currently hold a Ranson Business License, this exciting project provides our license holders a portal to do the full business license renewal process online, as well as file the required quarterly Business & Occupation Tax Returns!

For Business License Renewals, this website allows license holders to modify their existing business information, upload required supporting documentations such as a Health Permit or West Virginia State Contractor’s License, and pay all associated licensing fees via Credit Card or E-Check. Once the Ranson Finance Department has reviewed your submission and issued the approval, our staff will print and mail or email your business license directly to you!

For Business & Occupation Tax Return filings, this website allows B&O taxpayers to file their returns online. With this simple online filing option, guess work is gone; our system will automatically calculate your tax due for each income class based off your businesses’ gross receipts for the listed period! For any delinquent B&O returns, our system will also automatically calculate the penalty and interest due on the outstanding return. Once our system has calculated your final tax total due, your business can pay the tax balance online via Credit Card or E-Check.

As of June 3rd, 2024 the Ranson Finance Department will have mailed all current Ranson Business License holders an informational mailer with instructions on how to utilize this new website, as well as your businesses’ unique security code for online access.
